Due to the rising cost of postage we are aiming to increase our contact with patients, for routine administration purposes, by email and/or SMS to your mobile phone.
By administration purposes we mean, for example:
- notification you are due a routine check of your asthma, diabetes, heart disease etc
- reminding you of minor surgery, childhood immunisation, cervical smear appointments etc
- asking you to make an appointment with the doctor/nurse
Staff will be asking for confirmation of email and mobile phone numbers on a regular basis. You can also send us your email and/or mobile phone number via our online form to Update Your Details. All information given to the practice will be held in strictest confidence and will not be released to a third party without your explicit consent.
Please do not worry if you do not have one - we intend to use this method of communication where possible but not to the exclusion of using a Mail Delivery Service.
