Job Advert: Two GPs

We are seeking TWO GPs for Salaried Positions or Partnership for 6-8 sessions per week (negotiable).

We are a well-integrated Primary Care Team that comprises six partners and two salaried Doctors along with employed, attached and visiting personnel, caring for a population of around 13,200 in Carnoustie and the surrounding area of Angus, on the East coast of Scotland twelve miles from Dundee. Carnoustie is a pleasant seaside town on the north coast of the Firth of Tay, probably most famous for its championship golf course, venue for the British Open and Dunhill Cup.

Based in the South West Locality of Angus, we are clustered with Monifieth Health Centre and are excited to be able to have an influence over the services and delivery of patient care in our locality.

We are a committed Training Practice of GP registrars of whom we normally have two, ST1 & 2 doctors and Foundation Doctors. Medical and nursing students are also regularly attached to the Group.

Parkview Primary Care Centre opened in May 2006 with a joint tenancy with Angus CHP that houses Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Psychiatry, Psychology, Dietetics, Speech therapy and Counselling. We also have a Minor Injury assessment/treatment service.

• Paper light practice
• Vision and Docman computer systems
• Automated telephone bookings, text reminders and electronic repeat prescribing
• Currently awaiting date to offer patients online appointment booking
• Supportive if applicant would wish to work any sessions for Out of Hours Service
• We offer patients Extended Hours appointments from 06:45 to 08:00 hours on a daily basis (serviced by Partners on a rotational basis – no expectation of Salaried GP to undertake this)

• Modern building in excellent condition with superb facilities for staff and patients
• Applicants must be on the GP Register of GMC and Tayside Performers List (or willing to go on TPL)
