What is the Peer Link Service?

The Peer Link Service provides support to patients aged 16 years and over who are feeling isolated, overwhelmed or finding it hard to cope.

Peer Link Service can provide short term support when you feel you need it. You will receive sensitive and non-judgmental support and information.

How do I access the service?

Make an appointment at the reception — you don't need to be referred. Penumbra are currently at Parkview Primary Care Centre on Fridays (am and pm) [correct as of April 2018].

What are Peer Workers?

Peer Workers are fully trained mental health workers who also have their own mental health difficulties.

What else is offered?

The service also offers a programme of well-being workshops and groups throughout the year. These will be advertised through the surgery.
