Support for Adults who were Abused in Care as Children

Future Pathways offers help and support to people who were abused or neglected as children while they were living in care in Scotland.

They work together with people who were abused in care to arrange access to person-centred support that will help them to lead full, healthy and independent lives, and to find their own pathways to a positive future.

After someone registers they will meet a fully trained and trauma-informed Support Coordinator. Together they will identify the survivor's needs, what is important to them, and the specific outcomes they wish to achieve and agree a tailored package of supports.

Examples of how Future Pathways can help:

  • Work & education
  • Psychological trauma support
  • Community activities
  • Counselling & other therapies
  • Access to records
